About Thornham Beach

Overview

Thornham Beach lies between Holme-next-the-Sea and Brancaster on the Royal Norfolk Coast. This stretch of coast is shaped by saltmarsh and tidal creeks.

At low tide, large areas of sand and mud are exposed. It is more suited to walking and exploring than swimming.

Nearby marsh and harbour areas attract waders and wildfowl, particularly in migration and winter months.

Parking

Parking is available in Thornham village with small car parks and limited roadside spaces.

Access

Access involves walking from the village along coastal paths towards the shoreline.

Getting there

Thornham lies along the A149 coastal road.
