About West Lexham Retreat

A return to self, to nature, and to something slower.

Welcome to West Lexham, a countryside healing retreat set within the Norfolk landscape. Surrounded by woodland, water and open skies, West Lexham is a place to stay, to slow down and to reconnect. Shaped by nature, sustainability and a spirit of renewal, it offers space to recharge, to grow and to explore at your own pace.

Set within 22 acres of land, there is plenty of space to explore, or simply slow down and be. Spend time on the water, wander through the woods and gardens, take a swim, enjoy the wildlife or find a quiet place to rest and reflect.

Stay at West Lexham

West Lexham offers a different kind of stay, shaped by nature, stillness and a slower rhythm of life. There is a wide range of characterful accommodation, from treehouses set among the branches and cabins in the woods to bell tents, cottages, Barn ensuite rooms and Cartshed bedrooms.

Whether you arrive as a couple, with family or friends, or on your own, there is space to settle in and experience West Lexham in your own way.

Retreats, groups and gatherings

West Lexham is also a place to gather. Retreat spaces are designed to support a wide range of practices, from yoga and meditation to silent retreats, creative work and shared learning.

The Barn, Village Hall, Orangery, Library and Hayloft offer flexible spaces for retreats, workshops and group gatherings, while the wider estate provides accommodation for larger groups.

There is also space for team gatherings, celebrations and group stays, offering a setting to step away from everyday life and come together with clarity, focus and space to think differently.

Food shaped by the seasons

Food is at the heart of life at West Lexham. The Café is a welcoming space to pause and refuel, serving simple, nourishing food prepared with care and rooted in seasonality.

The Kitchen Garden is cultivated using biodynamic principles, growing organic produce that nourishes both the land and those who gather here. Much of what is harvested moves naturally to the table, creating a direct connection between soil, season and plate.

A space for healing and renewal

Throughout the year, a diverse programme of retreats unfolds across the estate, from yoga and meditation to sound, poetry, song and creative practice. Each gathering is shaped to provide space for exploration, restoration and meaningful exchange.

Everything at West Lexham is guided by a deep care for the land and a focus on restoration and renewal. From the way the gardens are tended and food is grown and served, to the spaces themselves, West Lexham is a place where you can slow down, reconnect and spend time well.

Come for a stay, a retreat, a gathering or simply to experience the land and find your own rhythm.
