Nightingale Cottage

Nightingale Cottage is a comfortable and spacious three bedroom cottage, sleeping up to four people with a cot (crib) for an infant. We welcome the entire family including children and pets. On arrival you will find a Welcome Tray with refreshments. The living room has a cosy open fire with coal and logs provided, along with additional electric heating throughout. For your entertainment here is a new TV: "43" flatscreen QLED HDTV with Freeview Play, BBC I-Player and separate Blu-Ray DVD Player. We also provide Wi-Fi internet for your convenience. There is plenty of Tourist Information available on our website and online from local Tourist Board. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, and washer-dryer. Upstairs you will find one double bedroom and two single bedrooms with pillows and quilts, linen and towels. All bedrooms have cooling ceiling fans for summertime comfort. The bathroom has additional Dimplex heating and includes a bathtub and electric shower. The enclosed private courtyard garden has pretty flowerbeds and garden furniture for dining al-fresco in the fine weather. Behind the main courtyard at the back of the cottage is our garage; you are welcome to use this for your car, motorbike or bicycles and there is also additional parking on the lane in front of cottage. Nightingale Cottage is an ideally located for exploring the historic village, inns, shops and tea rooms. You can take a stroll to visit the Norman Castle ruins, 11th Century Cluniac Priory, the beautiful River Nar and surrounding water meadows or the Roman Peddars Way. In Castle Acre village you will find the excellent Castle Acre Convenience Store (you can order your groceries for delivery) a Fish and Chip shop, Ostrich Inn and George and Dragon Pub and Wittles Cafe. In West Acre you will find Duration Brewing at Abbey Farm; accessible by car or footpath. Perfect for a relaxing break; either taking things easy or walking and cycling in beautiful countryside. It is just a short drive to coastal beaches and there are lots of other local tourist attractions for the whole family to enjoy. We welcome your well behaved family pets as valued members of your family. Nightingale Cottage has been awarded a VisitEngland rating of THREE STAR for Self Catering.
