About Railbus and Vintage Bus Day

June 28th is the Middy’s popular vintage bus day when we will have a display the kind of road vehicles which were the competition which did for many of the branch lines around the country. It is also the last day of our Railbus month featuring the East Anglian Railway Museum’s W & M railbus which, had they been introduced sooner, might have /could have kept the MSLR open for longer.

As usual all the railway’s facilities will be open including the Railway Museum and the Restoration Shed where progress on restoring the Y7, LNER no. 985, can be seen soon to be returned to service. And, of course, the Tea Room and Middy Bar will be open too.

This will be a good day to visit the Middy with both railbus rides and road bus rides to be had, something for families with young children to really enjoy.
