About Friday Foray

This guided walk is ideal for nature lovers who want a slightly later start to the day. Your knowledgeable and friendly guide will highlight a variety of wildlife as you stroll through the reserve. You'll look for seasonal favourites including ducks and waders in winter plumage, Siskin and Fieldfares and possible sightings of Woodcock. A stroll to the east side of the reserve opens up stunning vistas of Patsy's Pool to look for resident Marsh Harriers soaring over stretches of reedbeds and distant marsh.

You can expect to cover around three miles during the morning, but don't worry - there are plenty of chances to sit for a while and enjoy the view or watch wildlife from inside the comfort of one of our hides. Unfortunately, this walk is not suitable for dogs other than registered assistance dogs. Binoculars can enhance your experience and are available for hire from the shop on arrival.
