Titchwell Marsh is a haven for nature lovers, teeming with birds, small mammals, and a rich variety of wildlife. In winter reedbeds and woodlands fill with resident and migratory birds returning to the reserve for a respite from cold Arctic winds. Look out for waders such as Black-tailed Godwits and Sanderling in winter plumage, Marsh Harriers soaring over frosted reedbeds and Water Rail stalking the ditches. A walk through woodland trails reveals winter Thrushes, Finches and Warbles and this is also a great time for sea watching as you look out for rafts of Scoters, Divers and Grebes on the waves.

Discover Titchwell offers a short introduction to the reserve's diverse landscapes and best wildlife watching sites. You'll take in close up views of birds along the West Bank path and depending on seasonal variations, you'll visit either the east reedbeds or the beach. Expect to walk approximately three miles, but don't worry - there is plenty of seating along the way and you'll pop into one or two hides during your tour. This walk is ideal for novice birders and visitors new to the reserve and designed with you in mind. It is suitable for individuals, couples and families. However, you will not be able to bring your dog on this event. Wildlife watching equipment is not required however binoculars can be hired from our shop to enhance your experience. Do ask on arrival.
