About Ceramic & Glass Fusion Taster
Discover the magic of ceramics and glass fusion
Join artist Sally Mills on a creative journey where ceramics and glass come together in stunning harmony. After years of exploration and innovation, Sally has developed a unique kiln-fusion technique that combines molten glass with clay, producing vibrant, one-of-a-kind artworks featuring her signature “crazed” effect.
In this 2½ Hour Taster Class, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own framed ceramic and glass artwork—perfect for decorating your home or gifting to someone special.
This session is designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned potters. No prior art experience is needed—Sally’s relaxed, step-by-step approach makes it easy for anyone to craft something truly impressive.
We are hoping you will love working with the glass, becoming your next creative obsession and you will want to sign yourself up for the 7-week Ceramic & Glass Fusion Evening Class which starts in September. The possibilities are endless!
What's Included:
Clay & Tools Provided: We supply all the materials you need, including high-quality clay, the fritted glass, tools, and aprons. Included in the price is a white wooden and glass frame for your artwork so you can easily display this on your wall (see photo).
Introduction to Creating with Clay and Glass: You’ll receive step-by-step guidance from an expert instructor on the basics how to make the most of this wonderful technique.
Small Group Setting: We keep our classes small with a maximum of 12 participants, ensuring you get plenty of one-on-one attention from our experienced instructor. This makes for a fun and relaxed atmosphere where you can work at your own pace and get personalized tips.
Post-Class:
Firing and Delivery: By the end of the session you will have produced a flat piece of beautiful artwork with your design and have added the fritted glass. After you leave, your piece is then slowly dried and kiln fired so the clay can mature and the glass can melt into your design. This process can take up to 3 weeks.
You will be contacted when your work is ready for collection from the workshop or before you leave class you can choose to pay £5.00 for posting and packing it to you or a loved one if you aren't able to pick it up in person.,
