The Best in Comedy show returns to Maddermarket Theatre this August with a great show featuring the hilarious Reginald D Hunter, Janine Harouni, Peter Flanagan & Eleanor Tiernan.

Multi-award-winning comedian Reginald D Hunter is one of the most distinctive voices in stand-up, renowned for his effortlessly cool delivery, fearless honesty and razor-sharp observations. A familiar face from Have I Got News For You, QI, Live at the Apollo and many other television appearances, he has built a reputation as one of the UK's most compelling live performers, with critically acclaimed tours across the UK and beyond.

Janine Harouni is a UK based Lebanese-American comedian who was selected as one of The Guardian's Top Ten Comedians to Watch

Janine stars in the ITV2 sitcom Buffering and can be seen as Carla in the DC Comic film The Batman. She was a writer and performer for 2 seasons of ITV2's sketch series The Emily Atack Show. Other appearances include: The Russell Howard Hour, Comedians Giving Lectures, The Stand Up Sketch Show and The John Bishop Show.

Peter Flanagan is one of the most exciting rising stars on the UK comedy circuit, winning audiences over with his laid-back charm, sharp storytelling and brilliantly understated wit. A finalist in several prestigious new act competitions, he has become a regular at comedy clubs across the country and is quickly establishing himself as a name to watch.

Radio 4’s Eleanor Tiernan is a hilarious Irish stand-up comedian known for her uniquely oblique world view. Her show “People Pleaser” put her on the Sunday Times list of ‘Top Ten Female Stand Ups To Watch.’
