The Chequers

Reopened in summer '24 with a simple idea: a proper pub for locals. From street food and DJs in the sun to our own beer festival, it all started with good people and great pints. Now, with our kitchen open, we're serving up honest, tasty food every day -from laid-back breakfasts to proper pies. Stay the night in one of our 11 cosy rooms, either above the pub or in the cottage next door. Settle in, make yourself at home, then head downstairs for a pint, a pie, or a game of pool. The Chequers is all about simple pleasures and a warm welcome -your go-to for food, friends, and a great pour.
