About Flint Vineyard Tours, Shop & Kitchen

A visit to Flint Vineyard is much more than a slog around our winery. It’s an insight into how and why we do things differently. Come for a tour, pop in for a glass of wine, a seasonal lunch, or guided tasting.

Located just down the road from Bungay in South Norfolk, Flint Vineyard is known nationally for its elegant still and sparkling wines, and picturesque Waveney Valley location. …is what everyone else would say about Flint Vineyard. Our location is, of course important, being one of the driest and sunniest spots in the UK - and beautiful.

But what gets us out of bed in the morning is our passion for making the best English wine we possibly can. Whether it’s the UK’s first sustainably-grown Charmat or our award-winning stills, everything we create is about balance, purity and flavour. We’ve over 30 hectares of vines and a state-of-the-art winery. From grape to bottle, everything happens on site.

The Flint Tour is your best bet for finding out more about life at Flint: What we do, why, and how it ends up tasting so good. We take pride in delivering honest and open guided tours. A close-up look at the vineyard is followed by a walk-through of the winemaking process. We finish with a guided tasting of our wines in our traditional Norfolk barn, with preserved original features, or the Flint garden when the weather’s nice. Stay for a seasonal, locally-sourced lunch, prepared in the Flint Kitchen by our chefs Alex and Gemma, or relax with a glass of your favourite wine.

Frequently asked questions

Do vineyard tours run all year?

We are open in all weathers and run our tours, tastings and events regardless of what England throws at us. Please check the website for our seasonal tour schedule and bookings. What else is there to do at Flint Vineyard? The kitchen is open for pre-booked and drop-in lunches throughout the year. Please check the website for seasonal opening times. The shop is open Tuesday to Sunday 10am until 4pm for shopping and drop-in tastings.

Is the Vineyard accessible?

We have low mobility parking at the farm. From there it's smooth concrete to the Cellar Door Shop, Wine Bar and the winery on tour days. The garden and vineyard can be reached via flat gravel and grass, which are suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Wheelchair-accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities are available in the barn. Seating is available on tours for those less able to stand.

Can I bring my dog?

We are dog friendly. But there are often rabbits, pheasants and other dogs around the vineyard, so if your dog likes chasing things, please keep them on a lead.
