This direct reference to the Ulster Volunteer Force, a proscribed loyalist group in Northern Ireland, was often burned onto the ceilings of pub toilet cubicles in Belfast by cheap cigarette lighters. Mr Charlesworth worked on scaffolding using a candle to gradually burn an abstract design, on the ceiling of a specially constructed five metre by four metre space in the Aftershock exhibition.

Pensthorpe Nature Reserve Broody Bantam Raise Sandhill Crane Chick (17 July 2007)
A broody bantam hen has been the perfect foster mum for a Sandhill crane born at Pensthorpe Nature Reserve near Fakenham.
The Sandhills mum, a juvenile aged two, laid two eggs in May as building work for her new home - the Pensthorpe Conservation Centre - was nearing completion. Cranes do not normally reach sexual maturity until age four or five, so a fertile egg was not expected (the male bird is three). Cranes are very protective of their nests and would have been disturbed by the construction activity, so just in case the eggs were fertile, they were placed under a bantam hen. Miraculously one of the eggs was fertile. The bantam incubated it for 28 days and continued as foster mum once the chick hatched. Both foster mum and chick are both doing very well.

It has a living green roof covered with sedum moss and rainwater is collected and recycled for use in flushing the loos.
